About Me

Hi, I'm Kath and I'm an ecologist who moved to Montpellier in 2017. Anyone who has moved here or is here visiting will agree that this is really a wonderful corner of the world and there is so much to discover! Whether you like walking in the hills, lounging on the beach, exploring medieval villages, bird-watching in the wetlands, kayaking down gorges or chowing down on enormous plates of seafood it's all possible within a stone's throw of Montpellier!

Nevertheless, I have found online tourist and visitor information rather dispersed and frustrating to navigate, and have yet to find a single website that lays out all the options clearly and simply. So, that is my aim! Many of the places I've visited I've really only learnt about through word of mouth, so I decided to put them all in one place with practical information that will hopefully make it a little easier for people like me!

I only post about places I've visited so of course the list is (very) incomplete, and will grow over time. And I'm definitely not in the travel blogger/influencer game so if you're looking for glossy aspirational photos of beautiful young things with floppy sunhats gazing wistfully over fields of lavender you're in the wrong place!
